Legislation banning the sale of “bath salts” and other synthetic look-alike drugs has been signed by Governor Corbett. Rep. Rep. Culver Says Fair Share Act Would Level the Playing Field in PA's Legal System - 4/12/2011
Legislation to bring lawsuit abuse reforms to Pennsylvania’s courts similar to those already in place in more than 40 other states was approved Monday by the Pennsylvania House. House Bill 1, known as the Fair Share Act, would ensure financial responsibilities for damages in civil lawsuits are assigned in an equitable manner. Rep. Lynda Culver (R- Northumberland & Snyder) said bringing fairness and proportionality to liability cases will go a long way to making Pennsylvania more attractive to new businesses. Rep. Lynda Culver Comments on Governor's Budget Address - 3/8/2011
Governor Corbett delivered his first budget address before a joint session of the House and Senate Tuesday in Harrisburg, laying out a 27.3 billion dollar plan that represents an overall 3.1% reduction in state spending. Rep. Lynda Culver (R-Northumberland, Snyder) said that public employees must be willing to sacrifice in order to provide a balanced budget without raising taxes.
